Can't Get No... Satisfaction!

As a photographer you are always trying to get "The Shot".
"The Shot" that perfectly captures the subject matter, the mood, the experience, the moment... everything.
And sometimes, not so often with studio photographers, the attempt to capture "The Shot" is stalled or halted by those who do not want any of this documented.
Even if we have the right to shoot somewhere/something we are at times bullied out of the area.
It's getting worse.

Urban75 has an article all about it.
My question is, if photographers protest in large groups, are we going to be hassled about taking pictures?

On a related note, about a year ago I was saw a photo of an official PSA poster from the London Metropolitan Police that said:

Thousands of people take pictures every day. What if one of them seems odd?

It then encouraged citizens to report "odd" people taking photographs, and implied they could be linked to terrorism. If I can find it again I'll post a link to it. It was... depressing to see.

I saw the PSA at one point that Ian was talking about but I cannot believe that they did something like that because the effects it has on photojournalism.
